Cookies are small text files stored by your browser when you visit a website. They allow websites to remember information about your visit, such as your login session.
2. Cookies We Use
BoothGator uses only strictly necessary cookies. We do not use analytics, advertising, or any non-essential cookies.
| Cookie Name | Purpose | Type | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| connect.sid | Maintains your authenticated session so you stay logged in. | Strictly necessary | Session / 30 days |
| cookie_notice_accepted | Remembers that you dismissed this cookie notice (stored in localStorage, not a cookie). | Functional | Persistent |
3. Why No Consent Banner Is Required
Under the EU ePrivacy Directive and GDPR, strictly necessary cookies do not require prior consent. The session cookie (connect.sid) is essential for the platform to function — without it, you cannot log in. We do not set any non-essential cookies.
4. Third-Party Cookies
We do not use third-party analytics (no Google Analytics, Mixpanel, etc.) or advertising networks. Stripe may set cookies on their hosted payment pages when you complete a purchase — please refer to Stripe's Cookie Policy.
5. Managing Cookies
You can control cookies through your browser settings. Note that disabling the session cookie will prevent you from logging in. Most browsers allow you to:
- View all cookies stored by a site
- Delete individual or all cookies
- Block cookies from specific sites
For guidance, see your browser's help documentation (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge).
